City Reach 2010 Recap
Let’s just say City Reach this year was phenomenal! Every VBS service was packed with children from the area hearing the word of God and having a great time.
At our 5th annual Back-To-School Block Party we gave away 206 backpacks and had 450-500 in total attendance. I’m so thankful to God for the many new friends we were able to meet in our community and for all the smiles on the kids faces.
When we step up and step out to share God’s love in a tangible way, we are making a difference in people’s lives and bringing pleasure to the heart of God. After all, what we’ve done for one of the least of these, we have done for Him (Matt. 25:40). Can’t wait for next year!
City Reach 2010 is coming quick!
Our largest outreach event of the year is almost here! Get ready for City Reach 2010 August 10-13 @ 7pm nightly.
There will be action packed kid’s VBS services Aug. 10-12. The theme this year is Jungle Mania. On Friday, Aug. 13 will host our annual Back-To-School Block Party where we will give away over 200 backpacks with school supplies to area students.
Here’s how you can get involved:
- Sign up to volunteer on Sunday (or email us here)
- Donate school supplies (notebooks, pencils, crayons, erasers, etc) at the welcome center.
We invite you to join us this year in sharing Christ’s love in a tangible way to our community.
Awesome Week!
Just finished cleaning up from our 4th Annual Back-To-School Block Party. I had such a blast this week meeting so many new people. This year we were able to give away 196 backpacks to area students!
Praise God also for the many people who gave their lives to Jesus during the week in our special services. It’s all about sharing the gospel, blessing our community, and reaching out to people!
I couldn’t be more proud of our team! This church has the most amazing volunteers in the world! I was blown away by so many great attitudes, servant hearts, and people who can just roll with changes and make the best of random mishaps. I feel like giving everyone a gold medal. Can’t wait for next year!

Block Party Pics
Had an amazing time at the block party last night! We had over 450 people in attendance and gave away about 300 backpacks filled with school supplies. Praise God!
City Reach Rocked This Year
This year’s City Reach was amazing! We were blessed with great music from Aevory Nash and David Santistevan as well as some great messages by Fmr. Globetrotter Seth Franco and Swedish Evangelist Daniel Elvelyk.
The total combined attendance from the three nights was 796. We also praise God for a total of 37 decisions for Christ! I have enjoyed every minute of City Reach this year and I am so thankful for all of the ACC’ers who volunteered their time to assist with the outreach.
Statistically businesses and churches function by the 80/20 principle. This means that roughly 20% of the people do 80% of the work. This year we had over 70 volunteers from ACC sign up to help! This is about 45% of the church! I’m so proud of each and every person who put time and effort into making this year’s City Reach a great success. Looking forward to the Block Party tonight!
City Reach Bands
We’ve got some great bands lined up for City Reach this week. They will be playing nightly at ACC Tuesday-Thursday at 7:00pm.
Aevory Nash will be performing on Tuesday, Aug. 12 and Wednesday Aug. 13. Aevory Nash is a Christian indie rock group from Grove City, PA. You can check out their sound by visiting their virb page here

Also, David Santistevan will be performing on Thursday, Aug. 14. David has a new album that will be released later this month. You can listen to some of his songs by visiting his myspace page here.
City Reach 2008
That’s right folks, City Reach 2008 is just around the corner Aug 12-15. City Reach is the single largest annual outreach event that we do as a church. Three nights of special services for youth and adults, VBS for kids, free food, giveaways, and a Back-To-School Block Party on Friday night. This is an incredible opportunity to engage our community, meet new people, and share the love of Christ.
The following areas are available for you to sign up to help in: Passing Out Flyers, Evening Services, Kids/Child Care, Food, Block Pary, and After Event Follow-Up. If you have not yet signed up and would like to get in on the action, send us an email here with you phone number and the area of ministry you would like to participate in.

Debriefing Meeting
Just wrapped up our City Reach debriefing meeting. It is amazing to hear story after story of all that God did this past week! God has definitely proven that he is able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that we could ask or imagine. We saw roughly 90 people make commitments to Christ this week! God is so good!

City Reach 3
We had another great night last night. I gave a message about the prodigal son. I shared about how, apart from God, we’ve all made a mess of our lives, but when we turn to him with all of our heart, he will forgive us and give us a new start. We had about 15 people respond to the invitation to give their lives to Christ. Looking forward to the Block Party tonight!

We had another great night last night. I gave a message about the prodigal son. I shared about how, apart from God, we’ve all made a mess of our lives, but when we turn to him with all of our heart, he will forgive us and give us a new start. We had about 15 people respond to the invitation to give their lives to Christ. Looking forward to the Block Party tonight!

Last night was incredible. We were packed out again despite the threat of rain. Chris Gilkey shared his powerful testimony with us and over 50 people responded to the call to give their heart to Christ! Praise God! Just about every ACCer in attendance became an altar worker handing out New Testaments and praying with people. It was absolutely incredible!
Tonight we’ll be having a special appearance by Ambridge Police Chief Mark Romutis. He will be sharing with us briefly some of his vision for our community and I will be giving the evening message later on. We will also be giving away free pizza from CiCi’s! It’s going to be a great night!
